In Australia, First Nations incarceration rates remain alarmingly high - Aboriginal Australians are imprisoned at 10 times the rate of non-Indigenous people. After the 2023 Voice to Parliament referendum, we felt called to support impactful, Indigenous-led organisations working to create change.
That’s when we found Change the Record, a First Nations-led group dedicated to ending the systemic over-incarceration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Through our Gypsy's Karavan tour, we’re raising awareness and supporting their mission.
We'll be sharing more about Change the Record and why their work stands out to us, but in the meantime, we invite you to take a look at the wonderful work Change the Record are doing, and if you have the means and desire, to donate what you can!
We believe their work is so important, and we look forward to helping them achieve their mission, in whatever ways we can.
